All students grades 4th to 8th are welcome. If you feel your child should be able to attend and they are not within grades 4 to 8, please contact us.

Our workshops are designed specifically for children grades 4 through 8. All workshops are facilitated by our staff and proper use of materials is demonstrated and monitored to mitigate risk. A first aid kit is available for cases of emergency.
Additionally, all employees at PDX MiniMakers are required to pass a comprehensive background check before joining our team. We prioritize your child’s well-being and work to create a secure and nurturing environment.

Our program runs the entire PPS school year for 9 weeks each quarter (including the 2 free workshops).
For Fall 2025, our paid program begins during the 2nd week of school, from September to November, on days when school is in session.
Workshops run Mondays through Thursdays at select locations, and begin after school ends. Please check the specific start time for each location, as they may be different per individual school guidelines.
Workshops will not run on days when school is not in session.

Each workshop is 1.5 hours long. Please check the start and end time of each location workshop, as they may be slightly different for each school.
Early pick-up can be arranged. Parents/Guardians– please email or call us in advance so that we can be prepared for your student’s departure and minimize class disruption.

Yes! Light snack and snack time are provided to kiddos. Please ensure to let us know if your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions on your registration form. Kids are also welcome to bring their own snack from home.

Yes! Any economically vulnerable families should contact us so we can try to meet your needs.

Our goal is maintain a student-to-instructor ratio of no more than 10 students per 1 instructor. At most workshops, we have an assistant instructor available to help the students and lead instructor.
